Leapin' Leaners and Low Tops
We had such a great time at Leapin' Leaners and Low Tops with the Utah Jazz. We got to meet all the Jazz players up close and personal. The theme was a night in Paris, who knew Paris had so many big, tall men!
Jono had a chance to shoot lots of baskets while while we were here. He was making so many of his shots, that someone asked Haley if he was Jeff Hornacek. We all laughed about it during dinner. Then, who did we see? The real Jeff Hornacek. Jono
was very excited to get his picture taken with him!
Jenn was just as excited (OK, way more excited) to get her picture taken with Kyle Korver. In one computer edit, she took this picture, cropped it vertical, blurred the edges and it looked like a prom picture from the eighties! She stopped short of making it her screen saver.
Bud had such a great time, a nine-year old Jazz fan's dream come true! Here he is, giving Boozer five after sinking two free-throws. Bud shot the ball really well and had a smile on his face the whole time. Thanks, Grampy, for the tickets!
Andre Kirilenko had a lot of fun shooting with the kids; they took "funny shots". Bud also got his autograph and many others and now has a ball with all the Jazz players' signatures. He was really excited to get everyone to sign, even Morris Almond and Fesenko.
We told Bud that the most important person he played ball with this night was this guy; his dad. Bud said, "Yeah right!" But he will soon realize how true this statement is and how lucky he is to have such a great dad like Jono.
Jono loves ping-pong and every year he beats up on the Jazz players. Here he is with Fesenko and he also played with Memo. Jono thought that Memo was the nicest guy out of
all the players. (They are all nice guys!)
Speaking of Memo Okur; here is Bud shooting against him. Memo is doing his signature blowing in his fist move, preparing to fire off a three. Bud shot really well against Memo, as did his father.
We finally cornered D. Williams near the end of the night for another photo op. He was very nice and had the prettiest diamond earrings that you have ever seen!
We'll end the evening with the Jazz Bear. He rubbed Bud's head 7 times for 7 years of good luck. We all had a great time; Jono, Jenn, Bud, Grampy, J.D., Greg, Corey, Jonny and Haley! Go Jazz!
