Jono Leads the Team to Victory

Jono's 8-Man golf team just won the championship for 2009! He played very, very well all year and along with Jon Morgan was an anchor for the team. Here is the article from the UGA website.

October 15, 2009 Thanksgiving Point Wins UGA Public Links Title Thanksgiving Point, thanks to a strong showing from its final group, defeated defending champion Mountain Dell, 21-15, to win the UGA Public Links 8-Man Team championship Thursday at Wingpointe. Mountain Dell had a two point edge going into the final group, but Jon Morgan and Jon Oettli nearly swept Mountain Dell’s final group, leaving only a half-point on the table. Thanksgiving Point’s Luke Morgan also played a big role in the victory, earning a 3-0 shutout upset over Mountain Dell’s Herb Lyons. The results: Thanksgiving Point 21, Mountain Dell 15 Scott Clark, TP, tied Jeremy Green, MD; Rich Tripp, TP, tied Brock Padilla, MD. Four-Ball- Mountain Dell, 2-1. (MD, 5-4) Kirk Siddens, MD, def.
