Happy Halloween!

Last October we moved into our house and were so busy that Halloween was forgotten. The kids choose costumes from the dress-up bin and we didn't even carve pumpkins.  This year we did a little better; we carved pumpkins Halloween night.  I should write, most pumpkins got carved; Bud, Rosie and Jen F. carved their own, but the night got too busy before Jono could help Coleman.

Bud went to a party and trick-or-treating with friends. (Yes, I think fourteen year old are too old to be trick-or-treating too!)  He was a Utah football coach, coaching Coleman's football player.  Rosie was an Egyptian girl in an authentic costume Grammy and Grampy bought on their trip to Egypt and Israel last spring.  She looked very pretty!  She sang in the school Choir Concert Halloween morning and had a speaking part inbetween songs.  She spoke with such confidence and smiled when she told her joke.  She also went trick-or-treating with a friend.

That left Coleman to go trick-or-treating with Jen F.  She was just happy to have someone to still take!  Coleman dressed up as Star Lotulelei, a Utah football player.  (The boys in our family like to follow the same Utah football theme most years.)  He loved wearing pads and constantly hit his chest to hear it thump.  Jono and I stayed in and watched the Jazz game. We actually got a few trick-or-treaters this year.  Coleman had been sick, so  I was happy that he was feeling well enough to go out.  He and Jen called from my parent's house after being gone for about an hour.  Coleman was exhausted and ready to come home.  What a fun night!

We had so much fun at our annual Cousin's Halloween party!  We made Witch's Brew and ate delicious food made by all the aunts and Grammy.  Look at all those darling Summerhays kids!
