Not a Recipe You Want to Try
Today Coleman wanted a sandwich for lunch. We started off with a roll, he wanted butter and salt and pepper on it. (Remember how much he loves salt and fresh ground pepper.) Next he requested avocado, but we are out. He then wanted lettuce and cold, leftover mashed potatoes. Is this sounding yummy to you? The last ingredient he wanted on his sandwich was strawberry jam. Then he dipped the whole thing into gravy (also leftover) and ate every bite! I just wiped the gravy and jam stains off his cheeks and sweatshirt. What a kid!

He is so funny! I LOVE that you let him choose and that he ate it. Jono will die.
What a great mom for allowing such a meal? So cute....
I think he actually out did Jonny's pickles and cheese on a rice cake sandwich. Way to go Coleman. You should own a sandwich shop when you grow up.
Hi Jen!
I got your message, but I haven't posted a Alfredo sauce recipe on my blog. However, I do have a favorite. My kids love this recipe. Let me know what you think! loves....
Alfredo sauce
1/2 cup butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 cups milk (I like to use fat free half and half)
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. Sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked too long. Toss with hot pasta to serve.
