Life in HD
This week Bud and Rosie got glasses! I took them to the eye doctor a year ago, knowing that they inherited bad eye genes. They were both border-line for needing glasses, and the doctor recommended waiting one more year before buying them. Fast forward to this year, and they both failed the eye test at school. At the doctor's office, we discovered Rosie's eyes had gotten much worse in the past year, and Bud's had gotten a little worse. Time for glasses!
That evening, we went to the mall and picked out a pair for each, they would be ready in an hour. We left Jono at the mall and the rest of us went home to finish homework and get ready for bed. An hour later Jono called and said they needed to kids to come back and be fitted, we didn't realize that earlier. So, we went back to the mall with the kids wearing pajamas!
We think Bud and Rosie look very handsome and cute in their new glasses and they are excited to be able to see. Bud said, "Has life always been in HD?" and can now see the baseball score in the playoff games. Rosie simply said, "I never knew the world looked so beautiful!"
We can all see better because Jono and Coleman walked around the entire (huge) house and changed out all the light bulbs that had burned out; there were at least 20. They had to bring a very tall ladder into the house to change the bulbs on this chandelier!
For the past two weeks we have all had the unpleasant experience of having the stomach flu. Some had it for 24 hours, some 48 hours, and some longer. I'll spare you the details, but I will share a few photos.
It's so horrible to be sick.
I'm happy to say (knock on wood) that we are all currently healthy!

Let's shoot for that second Sunday if possible. I think that's a great day for a family party.
