Field Trip Time

Bud and Rosie had fun and educational field trips the last two weeks of school.  Bud's teacher invited Coleman and me to the 4th grade field trip to This Is The Place State Park.  We had a great time! (I usually don't go on field trips because it is too long to leave my friend Coleman, so I was excited we were both able to go.)

Coleman and I brought up 10 pizzas and 70 drinks for the kids, so we were very popular.  Bud and his friends pulled handcarts, went to school, learned about making tools at the blacksmith shop, and stopped at the social hall to learn a dance.  Bud had to dance with a girl! Coleman danced with a girl too, Mrs. South, Bud's teacher. We also visited the farm and petted the baby animals, then saw the new Indian Village.  It was amazing, by the way, well worth the trek up the hill to see.  After we waved good-bye to the students, so they could ride the bus back to school, Coleman rode both trains.

The only unhappy one at the end of the day was Rosie.  I promised her that I will be a helper at her field trip next year!
