The Super Bowl
Last year we had a very sad and poorly attended Super Bowl party. Ever since that day, Bud has been planning this year's event. He sent out invitations the day after the NFC and AFC championship games and eagerly awaited the RSVPs. Rosie was also very excited and planned many Valentine-themed activities for the kids.
The day of the party came and, even though some family members couldn't make it, we were prepared to feed an army. Jono roasted a turkey and we baked dozens and dozens of rolls. The party guests arrived and Bud said a prayer blessing the food. He prayed, "Please bless that we can have an awesome Super Bowl party." That really put the pressure on!
And... we did have an awesome party! The food was so yummy and we all ate way too much. Jen F. made chili con queso, Jonny brought cookies and Sara made her famous chocolate cake. The littlest boys played with trains all night and the rest of us enjoyed the game and the great company. If you didn't make it this year, plan on attending another great party hosted by Bud in 2011!
