Rosie's Dance Concert

Rosie had her Dance Concert and she was awesome! Her ballet dance theme was "Peter Pan", and Rosie's class represented the ocean. It was a very pretty dance (music by Enya) and the costumes were beautiful. The Jazz theme was "A Night at the Movies" and Rosie's dance was from "The Devil Wears Prada", the song was "Work It Girl". Rosie loved her funky costume and dance. She got to dance with attitude, something she has plenty of! Rosie's favorite part of the dance was a "lift", where two girls picked her up and carried her like a queen across the stage. She really wanted to wear her costume to school, but changed her mind as she was getting dressed in the morning (thank goodness!)

Rosie was in the Dance Company at the studio this year, so she took ballet and jazz. She loves jazz, but did not liked ballet. She wrote this in her school journal, "Today is Tuesday. I am OK with Tuesday. But I hate Wednsday, because I have dance and my dance teacher is really mean." I am happy to say, that the last few dance lessons of the year, Rosie was happier with her teacher and even gave her a hug on the last day. She dances again at Raging Waters this summer, and will be in the Dance Company next year also.

She looks so cute. It is so different to see her with her hair pulled back. I would love to read her journal, I am sure it is awesome.
