Labor Day Weekend
We had a great holiday weekend! On Sunday, we drove to Temple Square and walked around the beautiful grounds and went inside the Visitor Center. We explored the Temple Square Plaza and gazed into the reflection pond. Then, we crossed the street and toured the Conference Center, including the rooftop gardens. It was a perfect after-church activity.
On Monday, we went the Olympic Park for the second time this year. Last time, we ran out of daylight and the kids didn't get to ride the zipline. This time around, Bud and Rosie loved it! Jono used his power of persuasion on the operater, and we rode the zipline many more times for free. We even talked Jen F. into trying the zipline, but after riding the tram to the top and taking a closer look, she politely declined and rode the tram safely back to the bottom of the mountain. Coleman was so sad to not weigh enough to ride, maybe next year.
We also rode the alpine slide. Last time, Rosie and I rode the slide together. This time she wanted to ride with her dad. She said, "Mom puts on the brakes and dad never does, even when the sign says to brake!" She rode with Jono and I rode with Coleman. I tried to be really brave and use the brakes sparingly so Coleman and I would have an exciting ride. This is such a fun place!
