Christmas Eve in Pittsburgh
We feel so blessed to spend our Christmas Eve with Grammy and Grampy! We had our traditional cheese fondue, it was delicious, thanks to Grampy who carefully stirred it for at least an hour. Three sister missionaries joined us for dinner. We had had a nice roast for dinner and we ate Coleman-free, he was upstairs watching Tom and Jerry. Rosie and Bud were not shy at all and when Bud began to tell family stories we were more than a little nervous about what he was going to say! Finally we excused the kids to the other room.
After dinner, we had our Family Home Evening. The sister missionaries shared a story and sang. Bud and Rosie were Mary and Joseph and Coleman was a shepard from another room, where he was sent after not cooperating. We finished our program with chimes, and when Coleman started hitting Bud with his chime, he was again excused. The sisters loved the chimes and it is always fun when Grampy is leading the music. We had pumpkin and apple pie for dessert.
We found time to decorate cookies for Santa Claus and sprinkle reindeer food in Grammy's huge backyard. Check out the frosting on Coleman's cookie! We also had stockings for the kids to decorate and hang on the mantle.
How fitting for Coleman to finish off the night stuck in the banister. After his behavior this evening, we were tempted to leave him there. He had to squeeze his body through the posts and step out backwards, because his large head was not coming out!

It's good to know Brady wasn't the only one to be excused a few times on Christmas Eve. Looks like you had a fun night!
Sounds like the perfect day except for the stuck head. Poor Coleman.
Coleman!
