We're in Pittsburgh!
We started our long day of travel by waking up the kids at 7:00 am. When Jono went into Rosie's room to wake her up, she was sound asleep fully dressed for the day! She had woken up the night before at 11:27, gotten dressed because she was so excited to go to "Piggsburgh", then crawled back into bed, all ready for the day. Next, Jono woke up Coleman. Jono said, "It's time to wake up" and Coleman mumbled "Not yet". Jono said, "You're going to Pittsburgh" and Coleman jumped out of bed and said "Let's go Piggsburgh!"
Rosie, Coleman and I flew through check-in and security and had a great flight to our connecting city, New York. (Jono and Bud are coming later.) Each seat had its own TV and the kids watched Sponge Bob and WallE, and ate gummy bears, gummy worms and clemantines. Coleman loved his first flight, he thought he was in outer space. The flight attendant fell in love with him and he told her repeatedly, "I'm going to Piggsburgh, see Gramma and Grampa." She had no idea what he was saying.
Our good traveling luck left us in NYC. Our hour layover slowly turned into five and a half hours. The kids were as good as they could be. The low point was about hour four when Rosie was sobbing in my arms, "We're never going to Piggsburgh" and Coleman was yelling loudly at 5 second intervals. After that it is all a blur. The happy end of the story is us hugging Grammy and Grampy in Pittsburgh, PA and crying again.
Our first day here we went to Trax Farm for shopping and lunch and just enjoyed being with Grammy and Grampy. Rosie was constantly hugging them. We are so happy to be here!

All I can say is WOW! You've had sooooo many parties Jen. I bet you're exhausted. I hope you get to relax while visiting your mom and dad. Tell them HI from us and let them know how much we love and miss them. Hope you're having a great time and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you.... love you!
It looks like the nightmare trip was soon forgotten. Rosie's face in the last picture is priceless.
Ok once again, direct flight from lax to pittsburgh. Please people come here first!! Sorry for all the trouble. You are a trooper!! Did you cry too? I would have!!
Maybe we should invest in a private jet, I bet they are pretty affordable right now.
Sorry about your horrible travel day! Hopefully the way home will be much better.
