Coleman Sings

Coleman had his preschool program this week.  It was so adorable, with lots of fun songs and cute props!  He was very excited for me to come and watch him.  (His preschool has some very interesting rules, only one (1) parent was allowed to come.)  He wore his favorite striped shirt and brushed his teeth for an extra long time that morning.   Coleman smiled at me in between songs and once wanted to give me a hug, I encouraged him to wait until the program ended.

At Coleman's Christmas program, he only sang three words the entire time; Dasher, Dancer, Prancer.  I wanted him to sing better this time and so we watched Bud and Rosie's preschool programs for inspiration. Coleman was confused with a little Bud, he was sure it was himself. He also could not understand a little Rosie.  He kept pointing to the real Rosie and saying, "How did you make this girl little?"

This program, Coleman sang, not every word and not really loud, but a definite improvement over the last program.  Jono sums it up, "He's just not a singer."  I think we are just comparing him to Rosie who belts out every song she sings.  Coleman's favorite thing about the program was holding the props and waving them around.

Coleman had a great first year of preschool, he learned so much and he loves his teachers.  It's been fun for our family to listen to him talk about "Rainbow 'Necction!"

He is so cute. I don't think anyone can be compared to Rosie's singing. She is in a class by herself.
