Memorial Day

Our favorite Memorial Day tradition is cleaning the graves and leaving flowers.  After a yummy teriyaki chicken and potato salad dinner, we drove to Wasatch Lawn.  First, we visited Nana Nell and Papa Bud's graves.  Last year we noticed they were sinking, and had the cemetery workers fix the problem, so they were in great shape.  Next, we walked to Geoffrey's grave.  The headstone had just been placed and it is beautiful.  Jono and Adam designed it; it has a Cadillac symbol on it and a scripture.  It is perfect, Geoffrey would have loved it.  Then, we walked to Grandma Mimi, Grandpa Greg and Uncle LeRoy's graves.  They were already decorated with wind flags and lots of flowers.  It is nice that so many of our relatives are close and we can easily decorate the graves in one place.  We miss our relatives and want our children to know the proud heritage they come from.  We miss our Grammy and Grandpy too, we usually spend this day with them.

We had a fun time eating and visiting with you guys. We really love coming over and do feel bad that we are always enjoying your cooking. (it is fantastic by the way)

Even though this tradition is usually shared with your parents-we enjoyed tagging along and making a tradition of our own-Maybe the Summerhays' won't mind if we tag along when they come back.

We appreciate all you do for us and love you all.

Cute pictures. We missed the cemetery this year. I think Geoffrey's headstone looks very nice.
